'Millennium' (Wilkins 1995), a large H. sieboldiana seedling , is a cross of 'Herb Benedict' and 'Sagae'. ‘Millennium’ has beautiful rounded leaves that are a unique dark blue-green color. The leaves are somewhat cupped and very puckered. But what really makes this hosta so striking and enduring is its heavy substance. Slow to become established., it is a hosta with large roots, huge divisions, and thick scapes that are taller than 'Elegans'. A hosta that prefers cool, moist shade but not too dark a spot.
