Hosta ‘Midnight Storm’ NEW

‘Midnight Storm’ NEW (Solberg 2005) (Sport of ‘Lakeside Black Satin’) - Small, (8” X 20”) Streaks of lightning light up the broadly heart-shaped dark green leaves of this “Black Satin” sport as the leaf margin ripples wildly like a wind swept ocean in a storm. The variegation is highly variable but rarely becomes all green. Deep purple bell-shaped flowers with white stripes appear in late June. Seed set is rare because of its polyploid nature. A true collector’s hosta.
